Gather ’round, fellow adventurers, for I have a tale of epic proportions to regale you with—the tale of our daring BMW (Black Mountain Walk) adventure! Picture this: two lone females (Natalie & Lucy), trembling with excitement and nerves, seeking a thrill higher than ever before in the majestic Black Mountains.

As we geared up for our expedition, the anticipation was palpable. But let me tell you, folks, the excitement was so intense, we could barely contain ourselves! We were like kids on Christmas morning, except instead of presents, we had hiking boots and trail mix.

Our journey began with a bang as we tackled the formidable Black Hill—a beast so daunting, it could make even the most seasoned hiker break out in a cold sweat. But fear not, dear reader, for we conquered that hill like true champions (albeit with a few wheezes and gasps for air along the way).

At the summit, we paused for a much-needed photo pit stop, capturing the breath-taking beauty of the Black Mountains in all their glory. Little did we know, our adventure was about to take a hilarious turn.

As we descended from the peak, we found ourselves at a crossroads (quite literally). With adrenaline coursing through our veins, we nearly went the wrong direction—until a group of wild horses galloped past, jolting us back to reality. Lucy, in her infinite wisdom, attempted to make friends with the majestic creatures, but alas, they had places to be and couldn’t stick around for tea.

But fear not, for our misadventures only added to the excitement of the day. And what better way to refuel after a day of conquering mountains than with a lunch stop featuring Natalie’s phenomenal coronation sandwiches? Let me tell you, dear reader, those sandwiches were fit for royalty themselves!

Buoyed by our delicious feast, we pressed on, crossing the border between England and Wales with a sense of accomplishment that only a true BMW conqueror could understand. But the real challenge awaited us—a steep descent that tested our mettle and left us feeling like true trailblazers.

And so, dear reader, as the sun began to set on our BMW adventure, we found ourselves basking in the glow of our achievement—a whopping 14 miles conquered in the heart of the Black Mountains. But the adventure didn’t end there, oh no!

We capped off our day with a well-deserved roast dinner, regaling each other with tales of our exploits and sharing hearty laughs over steaming plates of deliciousness. And as we toasted to our triumphs, we knew that the BMW (Black Mountain Walk) adventure would forever hold a special place in our hearts—and in the annals of walking group lore.

Until our next adventure beckons, my friends, keep on trekking, and never forget the thrill of the BMW!
